Mike Knipstein

Mike and I became acquainted through an EMS collaboration group for third service agencies.  He has been at the forefront of providing customer focused care in a rapidly growing region of Texas. near Austin.  His department is recognized nationally as a model system with progressive care and holding the highest standards as an accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.

Director


 Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for the department in alignment with the
organization’s goals and objectives. Setting priorities, defining strategies, and allocating resources
effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
 Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering a positive and productive work
environment. Overseeing day-to-day operations, managing executive staff performance, and ensuring
that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
 Accountable for managing the department’s budget and fiscal resources. Includes developing budgets,
monitoring expenditures, and making strategic decision to optimize resource utilization.
 Acts as a liaison between the EMS department and various stakeholders. Communicates department
goals, progress, and challenges, collaborates with stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
 Responsible for monitoring department key performance indicators. Works to identify areas for
improvement, implement corrective measures when necessary, and drive continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance department.


Deputy Director


 Facilitate the management and operations of the EMS system.
 Provide insight and direction for the strategic planning of the department.
 Provide guidance and direction for performance improvements to enhance the EMS system.
