Our Team Approach
Healthcare Investigations
The healthcare system is complex with numerous areas of operations that can jeopardize your organization both financially and legally. Most important is making sure the patients you serve are not being impacted.
Edgar Solutions offers a third-party option for your organization to evaluate a concern with investigators experienced in healthcare and law enforcement, prior to involving a regulatory agency.
Our team of investigators brings together a wide knowledge and experience base for both the healthcare sector and the public safety sector. Our law enforcement team includes former state and local officers and agents with experience in all areas of criminal investigation including internal affairs investigations.
Our healthcare team includes paramedics, nurses, and practice administrators with extensive experience in both operational and administrative functions. These include personnel investigations, finances, compliance, and pharmacy issues to name a few.
What makes our approach unique is that we combine both types of investigators for projects, which allows for a well-rounded team to assist your organization.
Iowa Code 80F
RIGHTS OF PEACE OFFICERS AND PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PERSONNEL
Iowa law requires precise actions to occur when a complaint is made against public safety personnel. This law applies to a certified law enforcement officer, fire fighter, emergency medical technician, corrections officer, detention officer, jailer, probation or parole officer, communications officer, or any other law enforcement officer certified by the Iowa law enforcement academy and employed by a municipality, county, or state agency.
The law protects both the government entity and the employee when a formal complaint is received.
Our team has experience conducting these types of investigations along with union involvement during the process.
